Welcome

As I reflect on my first term as a member of the San Carlos School District Board of Education, I am pleased with the progress made within the district. Standardized test scores have improved. The district is financially sound and fiscally well managed. The citizens of San Carlos passed Measure E, a school modernization bond. The associated construction is proceeding within budget and most projects are on schedule. The San Carlos Educational Foundation has seen phenomenal growth and become a vital partner in offering an enriching educational experience to our children by providing funding for such programs as physical education, vocal and instrumental music, middle school counselors, librarians and more.

This is an exciting time for the district. We have a new Superintendent who brings with him new perspectives and opportunities to effect positive change. We must focus on meeting the unique educational needs of each of our students. We must improve communication with our parents, staff and broader community. We must continue to attract and retain top-notch teachers and administrators.

I am committed to making these changes a reality. If re-elected, I would be honored to continue to serve the San Carlos community.
